Bachpan Se Seva — Second Session at Bhaktabandhu School, Vrindavan

Welcoming Compassion Through Education

The second session of our Bachpan Se Seva initiative was held at Bhaktabandhu School in Vrindavan, founded by Yashoda Gopi Devi Dasi. With her kind support, Braj Animal Care was invited to lead the engaging event on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, to promote compassion for animals among young minds.

Learning About Braj’s Animals

The session began with a lively activity where children identified the different animals that call Vrindavan home. They discussed where these animals live and how forests once supported their habitats. Many children shared personal stories of their interactions with cows, monkeys and dogs, showing how closely their lives are linked with Braj’s animals.

The Message — Coexist With Care

Through engaging discussion, games and visual demonstrations, the children learnt:

  • How deforestation harms both animals and humans

  • How to respond safely and gently to injured animals

  • Why it’s important to be the voice for animals

  • How to show kindness and take small steps that make a big difference

We emphasised that learning empathy at this age helps shape a generation that cares deeply for all living beings.

Activity and Reflection

The session concluded with a hands-on group activity to reinforce the values of harmony and coexistence with nature. Songs and dancing brought joyful energy, and a heartfelt thank-you was offered to the school for partnering in this meaningful cause.

Gratitude and Hope

We closed the day with a small gratitude ceremony, expressing thanks to the teachers, volunteers and especially the children, who proved that real change truly begins in childhood.

We look forward to continuing this journey together and building a Braj where every being is safe, seen and cared for.
