CHANDAN GOSWAMI

Chandan Goswami is the 14th guru in the ancient Shri Radharaman Temple lineage of Vrindavan. He is also a prolific author and public speaker, who was recently honoured as an Ambassador of Peace by UPF. With an upbringing deeply rooted in the belief that every life matters, he developed a strong desire to serve the neglected street animals in this world. The priority was to address the plight of the animals in his country of origin, India, and in 2019, Chandan Goswami founded Braj Animal Care in his hometown. Serving as BAC’s Director and mentor, his unparalleled guidance helps our dedicated team maintain the highest level of love and care in our efforts.

VISHAKHA RAMOS

Vishakha is a writer and a teacher of English as a foreign language. She also serves as a caregiver for the elderly, and she holds a certification in Animal First Aid from the American Red Cross. One of Vishakha’s first animal friends was a massive snapping turtle which, at around seven years old, she caught in a bucket and placed lovingly in her sandbox – much to the frustration of her grandmother. Since then, animals have remained a big part of her life, from fluffy ones like cats and dogs, to creepy-crawlies like snakes, frogs and crayfish. Braj Animal Care is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream for Vishakha, and she hopes to inspire more and more animal lovers to join the mission.

ARUN CHAUDHARY

Arun Chaudhary has always been a pet lover, and dogs are his absolute favourite. Although he started his corporate career a few years ago, he made time to get involved with Braj Animal Care, and this has given a whole new dimension to his relationship with animals. He feels volunteering has helped him develop a greater sense of compassion towards the suffering. His care extends to the street dogs most of all, as no one else looks after them. Just by looking at them, he says, you can feel how hungry they are; so much so that no matter how much you feed them, it seems like they can just keep eating forever. Arun hopes that all humans can start treating our street animals with the same love and care that they give to their own pets and children.
